Gig Economy & Solopreneur Masterclass
Spring break doesn’t have to be a waste. Spring Into Action is a live, virtual masterclass for students who want to build something of their own — whether that’s a catering idea, a handmade products, landscape services, digital services, or a future side business.
This is where skills become money moves.
This Isn’t About Getting a Job. It’s About Creating One.
Spring Into Action is a live, virtual masterclass designed for students who want more than what the current workplace has to offer. Whether you dream about selling baked goods, launching a clothing idea, making custom crafts, offering services, or inventing something new. This masterclass shows you how ideas move from “that would be cool” to “this is real.”
This isn’t about forcing you to “pick a career.” It’s about showing you what’s possible — and letting you decide what to explore next.
Many students already have skills they don’t realize are valuable. Others have curiosity but no clear direction yet. Spring Into Action meets you where you are and helps you connect the dots between what you enjoy, what you’re good at, and what the real world actually rewards.
We’ll help you:
- Identify your niche
- Clarify what makes you different
- Understand your value
- Learn what actually happens when businesses go to market
You don’t need a finished product.
You don’t need funding.
You don’t need everything figured out.
Curiosity is enough.
Who This Is For
This experience is built for students who want independence. Students who think, “I could sell this”, have ideas for products or services, or just wanna make some money while going to school. Spring Into Action helps students move from vague ideas to intentional action.
Future Makers
Students who love creating — food, crafts, designs, digital content, handmade products.
Future Solopreneurs
Students curious about starting small and growing something of their own.
Creative Tech
You’re into design, animation, media, or creative technology.
Future Inventors
Students with ideas they want to test and shape into something real.
Spring Into Action helps students discover what they’re already good at, explore creative and independent paths, build confidence speaking about themselves, and learn real-world skills schools don’t always have time to teach.
✕ There are no tests. ✕ No grades. ✕ No required homework.
Only optional challenges for students who want to go deeper — and earn more chances at prizes.
What the Week Actually Feels Like
This is not a lecture about business theory. It’s a hands-on exploration of what it takes to launch something. Each day blends:
- Real-world entrepreneurial stories
- Interactive challenges
- Brand-building exercises
- Niche and audience discovery
- “What would you do?” scenarios
- Optional breakout workshops by interest (makers, bakers, digital, service-based ideas)
Some days you’ll refine your idea. Some days you’ll test your thinking. Some days you’ll realize your “random hobby” might actually be a business.
The goal is clarity, momentum and to have fun!

What You’ll Actually Be Doing
Throughout the week, students will:
- Identify what problem their idea solves
- Define their unique value proposition (UVP)
- Explore branding basics and positioning
- Understand target audiences
- Learn realistic expectations for launching
- Practice pitching their idea clearly
- Explore how solopreneurs go to market
Participation is flexible. Sharing is optional. Effort is rewarded.
This isn’t about becoming a millionaire in a week.
It’s about understanding how real businesses start.

Learn From Someone Who’s Actually Done It
Joey began programming at age 14, dreaming he was going to be a video game programmer. He went on to blend technology and design long before it was common.
He planned to go to college for computer science and use graphic design to pay his way through school — but a strong portfolio landed him a career immediately after high school. Advertising and marketing didn’t delay his future — it accelerated it. Everything he needed to succeed came from public schooling, hands-on experience, mentorship, and a willingness to keep learning.
Over time, his skills stacked and his responsibilities grew — from graphic artist and animator, to senior creative and media roles supporting executive leadership, to managing media for CityCenter in Las Vegas, the largest privately funded construction project in the world.
He’s now a Managing Partner for a Marketing & Communications agency that helps many startups to mid-size businesses grow their businesses. Through his consultancy, he’s coached entrepreneurs focus on their niche marketing, identify their Value Proposition, and transform their ideas into income. What makes the difference isn’t being attached to a specific outcome. It’s enjoying the journey and loving the work — letting the path unfold naturally.
Love what you’re doing, and you’ll never work a day in your life.
